For lowered 1" FLHTCU like mine and the raised up FLHX like Rick's with the 26". My bike barely leans and Rick's leans way way hard.

I found a nice PM extended version for ricks... lengthening the stand from 9.5" to 10.5"
http://www.performancemachine.com/motorcycle-accessories/kickstand.html

It's nice, nice foot tab, uses stock rubber bumper and spring. Only $70 AWESOME!

For my 1" lowered bike I found a Ness 8.5" kickstand $80
Ness #11-022
Drag # 0510-0189

http://shop.arlenness.com/p-1362-arlen-ness-lowered-kickstands.aspx

http://www.dragspecialties.com/products/?productId=128023

Both of these ideas are in the FatBook LINK (http://asset.lemansnet.com/static/sites/dragspecialties/flipper/2013Fatbook/#?page=1214)

But the Ness stand for lowered bikes. The foot tab is short, the rubber stopper looks craptastic.

There is an alternative... Pingel. Made in USA and great looking. Nice long foot tab. Pingel makes great stuff...
http://pingelonline.com/harley_davidson_acc.htm

BUT... $190 on amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/PINGEL-Kickstand-Low-Flh-62251/dp/B007GRHD3W/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1366681579&sr=1-1&keywords=pingel+62251

Do you guys know of any other alternatives?

Or just cut, weld, smooth, done and cost nothing...

I think it was The Horse that had an article a bit back on tips of how to do this best w/ different kickstands (e.g. hollow tube vs. solid bits)

My only concern with those aftermarket jiffy stands is the fact that you loose the little tab lock that doesn't allow the stand to fold up with a bit of a roll while on the stand.

Yeah I could... then get it powdered or something... BUT most of these are Tig welded and I don't have that ability.

That is a seperate piece that just goes under the top bolt like a washer, so that is re-used. No worries!

Mig would be just fine, done a bunch of them and never a problem. Good rattle can paint holds up pretty good seeing it's just a kick stand

Chris my old man is an excellent welder. He cut the one on my Gixxer down and welded the foot back on when I lowered that so I could touch the ground. If not him Mike Remer is one of the top welders in the U.S. He works for Chrysler but I'm sure he would be happy to help a brother out.

You guys....

Fuck I'm going to just do it myself...

Nah, I talked to my bro Nate and I will unbolt it and we will go to work. I will take pics. Then I will probably get it powdered because after all I am a bit crazy about details like that.

There was a slight cant to the foot... we weren't happy with that... and decided to fix it. Also wanted to lift the foot up a bit to give it a better footing. All due to the angle changes... little heat and twist

So I ended up doing the same thing our Evil Genius aka Gas Man did on this thread.
By lowering the front 1" with the progressive monotubes it put the bike at and unsafe, easily tipable angle with the stock stand. Cut an 1" of the stand, weld and done!

It's an easy fix and for nothing but a little bit of time. Rarely is a mod ever cheap, but this one is!!

After cutting the stand 1 " the first time, the bike just didn't sit quite right for my liking. Sat up to straigh on the stand and even worse when the rear is slammmed all the way down.
So I cut another 1" off and re welded. So a total of 2" cut from the stock lenght stand.
Sits perfectly now, very happy with it in any aired position.

Only ones I have on my phone right now are these. Hard to tell without a front or rear pic. 27* out last sunday morning when I took this pic..
Same lean as the rear pic of your bike G..
You can see how tight the rubber bumper is to the spring hole. 2" cut. Perfect lean.
