I can't find a thread for this...

What tools do you carry? What do you carry it in?

I had all the stuff below just in a plastic bag, till today when RedNeckMedic showed me this nice small bag he found at Harbor Freight for $6.

So I spread out what I have here...

My HD Ultra Tool Roll has about any tool I need to work on my bike on the side of the road.
Zipties - lots of them
snips - for zip ties and ?
loctite - couple bottles
Electrical tape
duct tape (not shown)
dielectric grease
small flash light & spare batteries (even though cell phones can be also used now and I have another in my leather bag)
Leatherman
Battery & Alternator checker
All kinds of fuses including a box of 15amp (bike is almost all 15 amp minis)
matches - who knows
set of spark plugs
tire psi & tread depth gauge
tire air hose extender
HD SAE plug air pump - not shown
HD suspension air pump
tire repair kit - not shown
random spares for audio & helmet stuff
rubber gloves to not get dirty or who knows


All into this neat bag as said before (it's only 11' x 7")

So far i have this stuff in the same bag.
Small ratcheting wrenches
Small channel lock
Small cresent
Torx bit
Screw driver
Lots o zip ties
Lighter
Tire plug kit
Fuses
Leatherman
Led flash light
Mechanics gloves for the hot engine
Electrical tape.

Going to add the harley air pump.
Ordered a Reda can for my trip.

Wow that looks like a lot when i type it out.

I need to get a bag myself.....
so far I have...

My HD Ultra Tool Roll
HD Suspension pump
Tire PSI and Tread Depth Gauge
Zip Ties
LED flash light
I still have a few other things to add...like fuses...etc

I too have a tire repair kit in my other bag... forgot about that. Oh and duct tape... moved that over there with it, just not shown.

And I have a reda can that I only take with on trips.

2121Split my tools up and have them stashed in a couple of "John Deere" tractor manual tubes mounted to my struts.

I carry Duck Tape, Zip ties, Harley tool thing, 9mm, and a Credit Card. OOps and a flash light.

I have found while tools are good... the zip ties and other random like that usually help the most.

For sure chris. Remember the fancy tail lite repair we did with some duct tape while down at Ohio bike week a few years back. Lol

I found riding with people who have tools usually is helpful..

I found riding with people who have tools usually is helpful.. Funny. I always carry tools. I always use them on someone elses bike. Knock on wood have not had to use them on my own yet.

I would add a couple spare bulbs, especially a headlight bulb.

Just a thought but might want to add a Maxi fuse to that fuse set. shouldn't blow too often but it could happen.

I didn't see food dehydration for making deer jerky whilst riding.
I know the gods will smite me for saying this ,but I never needed any tools and only carry a short 11/16 wrench to raise and lower the rear suspension.

Clutch cable broke yesterday riding, called the wife to bring me a cable. Only took 15 minutes on the side of the road. Thats why i have a tool kit !!

My clutch cable broke , I was 30 miles from being able to replace it. It was a blast riding the majority of the ride down m59.
