is that blood on the pooch? and what are those birds hanging by in the second pic? Nailed through the beak? or the skull?

That dog has some kind of sensitive skin in the tip of his tail and as he tracks birds his tail starts bleeding and it whips the side of him getting blood on him. I guess it is quite common in those type of dogs. Doesn't hurt the dog and he could care less. Nothing you can do to fix it. Just a bath after hunting.

And the birds are nailed through the head - they were already dead.

Thanks. Met an outfitter from Mexico and one from Alberta. Not interested in hunting in Mexico but definitely interested in going to Alberta. Now I know who to see. Super cool guy too. The way he described the 1,000,000 acres it is hunting paradise - bear, white tail deer, wolf, coyote, elk, mule deer, moose - there is some mineral fault line spring in the middle of his property and they all flock to that spring to drink. Shit I would be happy just to spend a couple of days sitting in a blind out there shooting pictures with a really good camera. I would probably take Gasman's bear mace in case I got thirsty.

I got a really cool canvas made for my friend out of the pheasant hanging picture. Anyone needs a canvas done try www.canvasworld.com. I had it done in black and white. He really dug it.
