After seeing RedNeckMedic's Iron Aces mount and iSimple wire, I knew I was in for a few more dollars.

I love the one cord simple for the iphone and that I can control charging it if I want with the flip of my assc switch on my fairing.

The iSimple cord can be ordered else where but if you order it from Iron Aces it comes pre-wired (http://www.ironacesspeedshop.com/products/harley-davidson/audio-and-electronics/isimple-is75-polywire-iphone-ipod-hardwire-kit.cfm) for the assc cord under the seat on all your FLH bikes.

About the same time I saw the iSimple cord, that weekend we went on that Defrost Run and I saw the RAM mount X-Grip. Gears started to turn in the ole knoggen.

So I ordered from RAM Mounts

X-Grip universal holder (http://www.rammount.com/CatalogResults/PartDetails/tabid/63/partid/082065077045072079076045085078055066085/Default.aspx)
2.38" short double socket arm (http://www.rammount.com/CatalogResults/PartDetails/tabid/63/partid/082065077045066045050048049085045065/Default.aspx)
Combination base for handlebar or brake/clutch (http://www.rammount.com/CatalogResults/PartDetails/tabid/63/partid/082065077045066045051048057045055085/Default.aspx)

I thought maybe I would mount it on the brake perch but didn't like how it sat so far out. Could have went with one of the more standard handlebar mounts. You can use the Motorcycle Mount wizard (http://www.rammount.com/products/motorcycles.htm#/)

Anyway, here's what I ended up with.

Here's a pic with the phone in it and plugged into the iSimple cord

And to complete the cockpit version... the GPS as well. I know it's crazy, but that GPS helps a ton on plotted trips or my long long trips. I don't use it around town.

This way I can rock Pandora easily. The whole damn mount kit cost about the same as the HD sleeve I have in the saddlebag.

Those RAM mounts are tough! We use them in our Semi trucks to mount 10.1" Galaxy tabs to the dashes for tracking out shipments. They take a beating for sure and keep on hangin on.

They now make the iSimple cord with the lightening plug
