Well after doing my rear shocks to Progressive 940's (http://www.twowheelmichigan.com/showthread.php?3873-Progressive-940-rear-shocks) (now new ones are 944), it showcased the downfalls of the front HD suspension. SO...

The Progressive Nitrogen Monotube (http://www.progressivesuspension.com/monotube/index.html)drop in's have been raved by many. Caveman did them last year on his 08 Ultra and not only does he love em, I rode them and they made huge improvement over his stock buick cush front end.

So after you tear your front end apart

Here's all the fork bits drying after a good clean.

You won't need allot of those pieces... the springs, damping rods, rebound springs, valves, fork caps... Basically you need the fork tubes, lowers, bushings and seals. Otherwise it's all progressive after that.

On my first around the block I could already tell the difference. After my fist mile and first few stops, it was certain. The front end dive is almost completely gone! My 09 Ultra has the best HD has to offer, but I can tell you, it's not the best out! The front wheel feels more connected to the bars, I can feel the pavement clearly, as if before I was connected through a layer of gel. The anti-dive takes a bit to get use to, because the dive is "connected in our brain" with stopping; take that away and it seems weird. Reminds me of the BMW's with their wishbone front end for anti-dive.

So my 1st ten miles gives these a :dthumb:

Well those fork parts are all going to be similar on all bikes.
