Nice.....lets just hope that they can keep them more affordable rather than slapping a 30k plus starting price tag on them.

Moe's 200% correct. I love Indian and would love to own one, but not at that price range. But that's a polaris thing... they do it to Victory and probably will to Indian. Their price tags are worse that HD. IMO

I love the new motor... it is kinda a take on S&S X-wedge.

I do LOVE LOVE LOVE the pushrod use!!

They ruined that motor, I think it's ugly as hell. I miss the bottle cap rockers. Glorified x wedge. I looked at one 2 years ago but when I test drove the thing it vibrated all over the place. Could not believe they rigid mounted the motor on a 35K bike. Hope they at least fix that part since they ruined the only part I liked about the Indian motor.

Yep, it certainly will be interesting.

It will be competition for HD for sure, however - A lot of people are caught up in the fact that its a new "Indian", but the lineage halted in 1953 in my opinion.

What Polaris bought were the rights to the Indian name and what they are delivering is a new motorcycle that evokes Indians, but it aint an Indian.

What they are doing is smart. Basically their current Victory offering doesnt appeal to Harley owners because they are anything but nostalgic looking.

Now they have a new brand under which they can market a retro-styled bike without appearing to copy or pander by making a retro-styled Victory

Well, My old bikes are solid mount. Probably the feel they were going for. they should just leave Indian dead. Cant just buy the name and make a bike and call it that.

I think Kosher hit the nail right on the head.

I'm just glad to see it priced better!!

Talked to my buddy at Dick Scotts last night......he's super excited about this. I think they are going to sell a shitload of the new Chief at this price range. I'm looking forward to seeing this bike.

I will say this:

At $19K for this bike, I cant see anyone paying $26K for a CVO breakout, thats for sure. Granted, they are limited volume bikes, but it would be difficult to trick out a Fat Boy for $19K, so I think this thing can do some serious damage to HD.

However, there will be come questions about dealer network (even more important because buyers of this bike will be paying $19K for the privilege of testing a new engine design).

They claim to be adding dealers, but they wont be adding experience.

Dealer network is a serious consideration for me.

Yeah, I want to test ride one!

I'd guess you'd have to get in the back of a long line. Their marketing on this has been masterful.

Totally love the old bikes. Funny how people today wrestle with problems with cruise control, LEDs, ECMs, etc.

These guys did valve jobs on the side of the road. I would be in big trouble.
