Too steep for me - $75 is near a warm day track day. Used to be $5. Shame to see them raise it so high. Still an excellent way to do your first track day. Great instruction / format, etc.

Paul and I got some funny looks with the Sportsters. One guy brought a http://www.bosshoss.com/view_bike.asp?x=BHC3LS300 . That did not work out very well.

Yes group 5 you can run anything with 2 wheels. Definitely a good experience if you have never been on the track.

I do expect that Greg and I will be returning again this year. Although he's upped the ante and will probably be taking the Buell, I just can't imagine chasing that around the track. Hell, it's bad enough trying to stay with him running around the lakes! Ladies and gentleman, this is the "BEST" money you can spend modding your bike! It may even qulify you for a discount on your insurance.

Only a couple pics, but we had an awesome time!
Despite the horrible weather predictions I saw Friday, the rain held off and we had a great day!

Paul's Sporty on the left, my Buell on the right.

We took a photographer last year, but he left during our track walk. We both were riding class 5 so no one left to do filming. Oh, and as Avon has seen fit to replace my favored "Venoms" with their new "Cobras", one which I had on the rear, I can now attest that they DO NOT STICK like the "Venoms did! I'll be letting Avon know of my disappointment.

Next time take my gopro with you. It suction cups on so you can mount it anywhere.

Actually that's a pretty good idea. Guess I'd have to wear it cause I'm always trying to catch Greg,LOL!

Just let me know - anytime. I got a shit ton of 2gb SD cards for it you can use (as long as you return without any gasman brokeback camping footage on them) and the suction cup mount works perfect as long as you use an alcohol wipe on the suction cup and mounting surface, let dry and mount - you will pull the mounting surface off before you remove the camera - I have tested to 183mph. You just have to supply your own lithium batteries because they are fucking expensive - like $10 for 4 of them and 2 last about 4 hours of footage. And you MUST use lithium or the camera will not work, period. Already tried alkaline and no dice. I have the firmware to allow bigger SD cards, etc. but I am skered to flash the camera because it says if it interrupts or doesn't complete for any reason then the camera is toast. I am actually thinking about getting the hero3 soon. If I could just build my slush fund up. I want to get the black edition - very bad ass. Then I can mount 2 cameras on the bike and you can swing riding footage and my wiener flapping in the wind simultaneously - the ladies love it. I would choreograph it to this song:

Never tried don't see why not. I just get disposables. Usually buy like 10 @ a time and throw them in the camera bag then use them up like condoms at a frat party.

No worries. I know it can't be broken because I have tested it. Just don't lose it and return it when you are done. At the track they strongly recommend safety wiring it to something. Last time I was there I zip tied it.

My go pro has a rechargable lithium it came with but my is the hero2. I have yet to use it on the bike. I need to get a larger memory card.

go to amazon - super cheap SD cards. I picked up 12 of the 2gb version for like $4 each or something ridicolous. For that Hero2 you probably want at least an 8gb card. 32gb is better. But don't video shit and leave it on there like my cousin. Annoys the fuck out of me. Keep the god damn card clean or what is the point?
