Just ran across this forum and decided to join. Been riding for 40+ years, mostly in California which is where I grew up and worked till I retired. Hope I can add something to the forum from time to time and find new and great places to ride too.

Welcome, good luck finding good places to ride, not what you're used to.

Thanks for the welcome fellas. I found this forum by a link from a member on HDforums.com, Keith, I believe is the user name over there. I have been in Michigan since Jan of 2005 and enjoy riding the beautiful backroads this state has to offer. This past summers highlight was the cheeseburger festival in Cassville. I have ridden all over this country and Canada and I can assure you this is one of the better places to ride in the summer time lots of sunlight and reasonable daytime temps coupled with senic terrain and miles of waterfront roads is what does it for me.

So you prefer this to whatever you had in Cali.

Ha! Well, that would be me - I'm Kosher over here. Welcome to TWM, its a great place to kibbitz (yiddish term, LOL) with Michigan riders.

Glad you made it over here, tho when I retire, it will be to someplace warmer. :)

Welcome from a swamp near Algonac. We visit a cabin just north of Hale and get through Oscoda often. We'll have to set a meet.

As old Jimmy says, changes in lattitude = changes in attitude, I needed a change in a bad way. I lived in several spots in California but spent the vast majority of my time in Palm Springs. I worked at LAX, commuting by aircraft most of the time, and got real tired of the rat race. All that being said I do miss the mountains and deserts. I love living next to Lake Huron for now but I feel I am once again looking at a "change in Lattitude"event but for now this is home and I am proud to call it that.
