I have a 2003 Dyna Super Glide with forward controls. Bike bought used and it came with them.

I am 5'9" with 31" inseam and even though I can handle them, I'm thinking that I could use mids a little easier. It sometimes feels that my feet are too far out in front of me.

At my height, anyone recommend I keep the forwards? Make the switch to mids? Other ideas?

Anyone have some mids they'd like to sell or trade?

I'm 5'7" and have my ultra classic with forwards & a Nightster with mids. I can't stand the mids but the wife rides the Nightster and prefers em.

As far as going back to mids, I bet HD could get it done. You may be able to get some used mids off CL.

I would assume that mids from a 03 sporster would not work if I am wrong let me no a friend has some.

Funny, I can't ride without rearsets.

I'm 6'2" and have never been able to get used to forward controls. Probably due to having over 20 sportbikes before any cruisers. I can never "find" the forward pegs when taking off from a stop.

Check out hdforums.com there is usually someone looking to swap there mids for forwards.

Other option is for you to do what a guy I know did.

He left the fowards and we put some pegs on where the mids would go so he could switch around on long trips.

One guy today told me to install Kuryakyn large ISO pegs with stirrups. That just might be the ticket. Keep the forwards, but kick some support back to the rear a bit.

Im 6 ft And i think mids would drive me nuts. I guess the floor boards on the raod glide are considered forward and i feel cramped on those so i stretch out further on highway pegs

get what works best for you, try the mids and see how you like them

Ordered the Kuryakyn Dually Iso/Stirrup setup today. I'll put em on when they show up, take some pics, and post to the forum. I'm thinking they will give me that little bit of support I need.

UPS man brought 'em today. Install was quick and easy. They look pretty sweet, and I put the chrome HD ones that were up front on the back, enabling me to get rid of those cheap rubber things for the passenger in the deal.

Now I gotta ride and see how they feel!

OH YEAH! These are awesome! They make a world of difference. Being a new rider, this gives me more confidence in the corners too, as I can push down through the corner now, and it didn't feel like I could so much before. In fact, I cornered tight enough to scrape the right side stirrup, I don't think I ever leaned the bike that far before!
