Started to strip the bike down to rewire it and found the rear wheel 1/2 inch off center.

1/2" off center of what?
question is, does everything else line up like it should?

Well I haven't started to check everything yet. But the fender was almost rubbing one side and had a good 3/4 inch gap on the other. When I took the fender off I noticed the rear wheel was off center to the frame backbone (I used the string trick) now the big question will be the motor and trans.

without seeing it in person, i'd say the drive belt is in-line or it would wear it out real fast. also check the wheel alignment front to rear. worst comes to worse, put a spacer on the rear pulley sprocket.

i like the finish on the frame

Yep thats the girlfriends truck, she bought the supercharged 2003 anniversary one brand new and its only got 20,000 miles on it. I think she drives it once or twice in the summer.
