I have bikes with and without. Currently my Ultra obviously does, but when I ride the nightster I tend to not use it. But that is largely because I ride it for the difference away from my Ultra.

What about you?

The first mod I did to my shadow was take off the windshield. So for on the glide I only use the stock shield which does nothing but cometic I mean the radio sticks up higher. I am going to get a 12" or a 10" in windvest for longer rides and klockwerks 8" for around town.

Never leave home without it.

I used to ride my Heritage and my King without when it was warm, but I always needed ear plugs when I rode without a shield. For me its just too painful, the wind noise is too much.

I'm getting an LRS shield for the RGU, same height as stock, but dark tint, and it aint comin off. One of the things I love about this bike is that fortunately, I have *zero* buffeting and wind issues.

Its kinda part of the front fairing.....so.....yeah its always there. Besides I hate how the wind makes it feel like the helmet is bouncing up off my head, when I wear it.

Got small ones on both the sportsters, quick detach style. For getting through the winter and on most runs of more than three days it'll be with a shield, usually.
