I have my kids that weekend, dangit. I have custody of em, and the ex takes em every other weekend. We could come anyways, but wouldn't stay for too long. We could always meet where there are things to do for em, like play pool or play video games, so if people do bring kids they won't be bored.

We could maybe go bowling somewhere? I'm absolutely horrible, but it would give us something to do while we got to know each other, and the kids would be busy....?

Okay, lets decide first, do we wanna meet at an entertainment place like Dave & Busters, or a bowling alley, or just a decent place to eat? It doesn't matter to me either way. From this decision we'll pick a place. I did find out that the only Dave & Busters is located in Utica, which is at Hall Rd (20 mile rd) and the Van Dyke Fwy (M53).

B-Kinger
02-22-2009, 03:18 PM

Cmon folks, is it gonna be Saturday or Sunday? Let's DO it! Betty, I'm sure you're very busy, but we haven't heard from ya in a while. Where would you like to meet? Honestly, I'm not up for a restaurant, one just cuz my kids will be bored to tears, and two cuz that could cost alot. We gotta do something though! Want me to just pick a place?

I stopped by Dave and Busters after work just to check it out. For those of you that haven't been there yet, it's right at M53 (the Van Dyke Fwy) and M59 (Hall Rd.) at the northeast corner. It's off of the north side of Hall Rd, in the Utica Park Place plaza, adjacent to the freeway. It's surrounded by large motels like Holiday Inn and Hyatt Place, and there's a Red Ox Tavern across the parking lot. It's quite a huge place, with many pool tables and table shuffle board games that all have their own seating areas as well as a bar with a grill and tables in the front, as well as in the arcade area in back. They open at 11:30 am Sunday, and the grill is open right away too. As for the arcade area in the back, they have everything imaginable, from a simulated golf range, skeeball and dance games, to a huge antique style old western shooting game and others like the House of the Dead, to driving and riding games like NASCAR and Superbikes, which we must play. If you're die hard old school there's still Donkey Kong and Ms Pacman. Anyways, there are plenty of areas to hang out, so finding a spot shouldn't be a problem, and the lady at the counter said it should be quite slow at noon. The pool table area that's off to your left just around the corner once you walk in seems to be a great spot to meet, and we can wander around or do whatever from there. Sound good?

Okay, going to my Godson's soccer game, then right to Dave and Busters. Betty, you mentioned in the introductions section that it was in Novi, so just to clarify, it's Utica. Hope to see everyone there! I'll be wearing a black leather jacket, blue jeans, and a white motorcycle shirt, and of course Monica (Twisted) will be there, and she's taller then me, so you won't miss us, ha ha.

It was nice to see more new faces with the riders. We must get all of us together even if its for a few minutes. Good to meet those that came out this season is looking to be a good run we have some nice rides planning.

Bob
03-01-2009, 10:13 PM
Good deal. I'm sure I'll make more this riding season. I'd like to have a little meet and greet at Elizabeth Park in Trenton. It's a nice quiet park where we could all meet up and BBQ or just hang out. I'm also going to try and get the cruiser in for a good look over and new tires before the season really hits.

B-Kinger
03-01-2009, 11:35 PM
Yea that was great. Looking forward to riding with everyone even more now. Especially if I get to witness Buzzard blasting down the freeway with his feet up! Maniac. ;D Bill, hope you didn't get frostbite on the way home, we were cold just getting back to the car! Four more weeks...

Thruxtonbill

It was really nice meeting everyone that showed up. Spring will be here before we know it and I am looking forward to some day rides soon. My ride home was colder then my ride there, lol, but it felt great being on the bike again.
