In the recent day trips with rugby and kosher we spoke about setting up regular Sunday rides; calling these rides "Church" or in our world "Two Wheel Church". As the saying goes - "I'd rather be on my bike thinking about God than in church (or synagogue) thinking about my bike"

A great example of such rides was rugby's Sunday brewery ride (http://www.twowheelmichigan.com/showthread.php?3957-Sunday-10-7-12-Ride-Eat)

and upcoming this Sunday thread (http://www.twowheelmichigan.com/showthread.php?4039-Church-on-Sunday)

Well we want to continue this in the spring and will need your help to make it a success. So to help with all of this I bought another domain www.TwoWheelChurch.com Yes, yes I did. All it does is re-direct back to twowheelmichigan.com but it's still funny and could be used in word of mouth.

I could even make a forum section specific to these rides and make the domain redirect straight to those rides in that section. That's all to be determined and we can all weight in on the topic here.

What ya think?

Like I said before I think the best way to do it is kinda like biker bobs does there bike nights and preset the meets and destinations way ahead of time. So prior to next spring lets set up a calendar ( hey we have one on the site) with the meeting spot and destination or general route set ahead of time that way its not one person always setting up the rides and whoever shows up shows up. This way it can be something week after week to plan on and once people see what their missing out on they will try harder to show up.

I 200% agree on your assessment on how to do the TWC thing on Sunday.

We will setup the calendar on the site (top menu) and setup destinations. Maybe come up with a few standard starting points. Like rugby's tim hortons, then maybe something further west and one further north. That way a guy like Kosher isn't always traveling the same 30min ride south. Sometimes we may be up by him or west of him and me. Variety without getting too crazy.

And thanks Lance... I think it's cool. Just not sure what else we will do with it... I am really thinking about doing a forum section for this.

I'm down for a Sunday ride.

I'd join ya, but all my parts are in and they took my bike away for installation today, if I'm lucky I'll get it back end of next week. I hate to say it but as of now the forecast looks craptastic.
