Next Summer????

They have some really nice roads in Virginia. When I went down to The Dragon with Earl we crossed over Rt. 250 between Rt 28 and 81 south.
Man what a ride. Good road, lots of switchbacks and hairpins. Very technical though. Sone of the switchback had quite a steep grade to them.
It was getting dusk to dark at the time we rode it. Would love to do it again under better circumstances.
Looks like the Back Of The Dragon is an hour or two south of Rt 250. Just Thinking?????????

it looks more like "The Anterior of the Dragon" but hey I like it.. let's go ride it and boost tourism and all.. it's the American thing to do.. spread tyranny through the little known parts..

I lived in Virginia for about 14 years, I miss it a lot. Its a beautiful state. I havent heard of that road, but I might have to do a business trip to DC (boss, some people that work for me are there) in the spring, and hit that as part of that trip.

This looks pretty interesting! Might hit it on my way home from Tail of the Dragon this year. Anyone want to ride down to the tail with us can tag along. We plan on going the first weekend of May.

The other road to hit while you are in the Smokys is the Cherohala Skyway - tons of twisties, gorgeous, and about 50 miles.

We may sneak over to it in July as we have another forum meet and greet scheduled in W. Virginia.

Dont you think they could have been a little more creative with the name? Maybe the nasty copperhead?

The Cherohala Skyway is a hoot and beautiful.
