I have ridden Ontario anf found it to be very nice. Most roads are great and the folks are friendly.
Have been as far north as Timmins (http://www.timmins.ca/) and Iroquois Falls (http://www.iroquoisfallschamber.com/web-content/). Rt. 17 on the north side of Algonquin Provincial Park (http://www.algonquinpark.on.ca/) is a really nice ride also.
The provincial parks(camping)I stayed in were scenic with clean showers. A bit pricey though. I think it was about $27 per night.

I someday would like to ride the James Bay Road (http://jamesbayroad.com/) up to Chisasibi (http://jamesbayroad.com/chisasibi/index.html) but this would take a lot of planning and dedication.

Anyway Canada is cool just know that when you start getting north of Sudbury (http://www.sudburytourism.ca/) things flatten out.

Rt. 144 heading north out of Sudbury. Not much traffic up here.

Onaping Lake (http://www.onaping.ca/). One of the many lakes you will encounter on Rt. 144.

I think Ontario has 2 problems

1. Depending on where you cross it is a big hassle to cross the border and even bigger hassle to come back into the US
2. Everything is too god damned expensive in canada. I would rather go to the land of cheap gas, rolling hills, prescription pill addicts and shitty college football - known as ohio (otherwise known as olieo)

Nice pics MD....Im with Mud on this one. We use to take the 401 from the Ambassador to the Cornwal bridge crossing into New York to visit my daughter that attended Plattsburgh State at least twice a month.. PITA!!!! The Cornwal bridge was a Mofo to cross in and out of the U.S. and canada. I remember one time crossing into Canada they flagged me over for not having paperwork for my 6lb. dog! Doing there job I guess but still a PITA...

Never have those problems here at the peace bridge. I always make sure I cross at low traffic times and breeze right thru.
It is time consuming just the same but never had problems.

I know I want to do the Lake Superior loop. I hear the Canada side is beautiful.

I did learn at one crossing to always cross on a weekday.. weekends the weekend cowboys (and cowgirls) come in and hassle you.. during the week it is more laid back..

Just went over on Monday with Randy, (Coastie56), (some kind of Canadian Peon's holiday), met up with a couple of local's, (John K, and IronMick), and did a breakfast down at Port Glasgow on the Erie shore. Rode back roads, (local guides are GREAT), and finished with a grilled dinner up in London at IronMick's. We always cross here in Algonac as there is NO traffic, no hassle, and it's scenic. If anyone anticipates a leisurly jaunt into our neighbors across the river give me a heads up with a couple days notice and we can put something together.
