It's a general... but the 2WM weekend ride... I want to see if we can get a somewhat "weekly" ride set up. So we know that we have something happening if no major events are taking place.

Remember boys... FUCK Royal Joke's bike night. They are almost as bad as Mrytle Beach.

Gas Man- You mean Royal [bad] Joke? Tickets suck.

Is there any place downriver - Trenton, Taylor, Southgate, Wyandotte, Riverview, etc.- that has a bike night?

Good suggestion. Any ideas about a day/time, meeting place?

if some work schedules permit are we going to a long ride out of MI, or stay within our confines?

RO was too crowded and the traffice with the cars for bikes was too much with no stop lights.

Berto
01-29-2009, 02:15 PM
Boop... where have you been?

B-Kinger
01-29-2009, 05:54 PM
I'm sure expecting to take some long and overnite trips within MI this season, and I'm hoping that things work out well enough that at least some of us will be riding the Dragon again. Just too early to tell right now, as many of our jobs are so up in the air. Count me in for a few of those bike nights and of course the west side loop. Some of us east siders will have to meet up and ride out that way together.

Hey everyone. Doing a second job as they say death and taxes..........Trying to get my new bike

If you know anyone that need taxes done, I'm the girl

I have friends going in early June, the guys from up north that I have mentioned, and they'd love for more people to go, but it's just so up in the air for me right now. Don't know if I can swing it financially yet, either. There'll definetely be some trips this summer, just don't know which and when yet. I have custody of my 2 kids, and the ex gets em every other weekend, so I have to cram everything in when I can.

I would like to be added to that group of peeps going to the gap.

I would trailer down... but count me in as of now.

B-Kinger
02-02-2009, 09:24 AM
If my girl goes we'll need a trailer as well. She wouldn't tolerate the ride down on her bike. I'd go either way, trailer or not.

Berto

B-Kinger goes both ways ????????

Yowsa!

LOL...

Only reason I'd trailer is if I get my DRZ-SM... riding for 10+ hours on a 2x4 does not fancy me.

On the VTX, I'd ride down... if I end up taking that bike, but King, we'd have more fun if I am on the DRZ.

Last time I went, Sarge and I rode down, did the Dragon and Skyway, and rode home. He tore the Dragon a new assh*** with his Valkerie!

Berto
02-03-2009, 12:57 PM
The dragon got slapped around by me pretty hard on my old DRZ... haha... My buddy said at one point he looked in his rearview and could see the side of my bike... guess I was backing it when he looked...

Most fun on two wheels with my clothes on I've ever had.

I am pumped man! this trip is happening!

It's not the beast,it's the animals that ride over their head !! The best time to ride is before traffic picks up.

B-Kinger
02-04-2009, 12:38 PM
Well I shall valiantly ride upon my thrusty steed, 'King, and conquer thy fearsome dragon with merciless force, shredding her twisted curves and blackening her yellow lines with my blazing tires. I shall blind her eyes with the wake of my testosterone drenched vapor trails, and then I will thrust deep into her belly, and punch her right in the ovaries. I will mount her head on the tree of shame. I hope somebody brings a camera. ;D

Nonsense!!! When i get through with her, that tail will be tumbling down the mountain like an overzealous newbie on a sportbike! Then again, maybe I should bring my cordless screwgun, just in case. HA HA! In all honesty, I'd be rather cautious in my riding; at this point I simply cannot afford a wreck of any kind.

Man... I can't wait for this trip...

You guys will be a trip down there I am sure!

I have ridden the piss out of my bike on the dragon and I must tell you, there is no better way than to hit that road with your best.

I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Just remember... Us old guys don't exactly have the body,(too much of it over the belt !) to ride a sport bike so YA DRAG WHAT YA CAN! If I'm draggin my boot or peg on my Valkyrie I'm doin somethin! Not everyone can throw 1100lbs around. (Me,bike, fuel and bags )
But I ain't hatin...you tear up your knees and I'll tear up my pegs.. Either way it's all good ;D

I was blinded by the sparks comin off your floorboards! I had to stay back or my windshield would have melted! And I had to stop and pick up all the parts that were fallin off of your bike. Christ, you lost your helmet on the way DOWN there! ;D

sarge
02-04-2009, 04:40 PM
That wasn't the sparks. It was the heat from my massive engine's exhaust mixed with the gas from the pizza we had the nite before !!!!! ::)

HA HA, sometimes he's gone so quick he doesn't leave you much choice! We tend to blast away from stoplights so fast when we ride together you'd think Godzilla was chasin us. Honda would have corporate anxiety attacks if they saw how he treated their beloved 6 banger, but she takes the punishment well and runs like a top, with I think 30,000 miles on her now.

BURN BABY!!!

HAHA... Love the trash talk...

It's all good Sarge, if I don't pick up a DRZ by the trip, I'll be chasing you on a VTX1300C... so... it's all good!

Yeah, and mental note... do not ride behind Sarge after pizza night...

Yea, rode there alone for a WRIF event years ago. Almost entirely Harleys at the time, but no one booed me during the burnout competition or gave me crap, so I enjoyed it. I'd definetely go again, especially if we went as a group this time.

Berto
02-11-2009, 08:51 AM
I'd ride the X to something like this. But the DRZ would be funny at one of these events.

B-Kinger
02-11-2009, 08:57 AM
The DRZ would be BETTER, just for the fact that it'd be the only one there.

Berto
02-11-2009, 11:29 AM
I like the DRZ effect in twisty roads. When people think it's a slow bike and they get left behind big time.
