Hey Everyone,

My name is Nick and I am from Macomb Township, although i spend most of the year living in Ann Arbor for school.

I picked up a Yamaha FZR600r about a month ago and I thought it would be nice to fine some others who enjoy riding just to ride like I do (no point A--->B here).

Currently it's being fixed as it started to not start a few weeks after running fine. The mechanic who picked it up said he is confident it is the carbs. I wanted to work on it myself however I don't have a garage in Ann Arbor and I want it gone through as thoroughly as possible, so I thought I'd leave it to the pros this time.

Anyway, while it's in the shop I've taken most of the fairings off and I plan on doing a colorshift job on the entire bike. Hopefully it goes as well as I picture it.

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself.

Nick

You got a good point there Bill. Might not want to screw up a vintage bike like that.

:welcome: to TWMI. Fellow Yamaha rider here as well. Nice bike, I say leave the paint scheme alone, good looking bike. You just don't see many like it that haven't been trashed or repainted.

Welcome from Mount Clemens. An FZR600 was the first new bike I ever bought. Great fun on that thing and still really simple. Welcome and enjoy.
