Woot for America, and Woot for Canton, MI!

The company Element Electronics has moved the assembly of its larger televisions from Asia to Canton, Mich., and they’ve already sold out for the year now that several chain stores have taken notice. NBC’s Kevin Tibbles reports.

Saw that on the news. Not only assembly, but they're getting part suppliers interested. This is excellent.

I think the last made is US TV was Curtis-Mathis, could be wrong.

Glad to see them in the national spotlight and hopefully they will continue to prosper. I worked on their new plant when it was under construction, my family did the masonry work. It's a very state-of-the-art facility.

I have looked at them here at Best Buy. I need one for the bedroom.
Thought they were off the boat though. Good news for you guys in Mi!
Will never happen here in New Taxes! I mean New York!
Will see if they are still available and snag one.
Thanks for some good news finally!

MD: Only the 46" and 50" are made here, so keep that in mind. They want to move the other ones over here eventually.

My point is, if he wants an 'American Made TV', it will have to be one of those sizes.
