Well finally moving out of mommy and daddy's house, I'm going to be renting my great grandparents house from them since they are in the nursing home now at 92 years old. They need the money to pay for good care and I get a deal on a place to stay so its win win. So We've been cleaning the place out since they were the only owners and the house was built in the late 40's. The hardest part is every room has wallpaper in it except for the living room and one of the bathrooms.

Here is the my bedroom up stairs after the paper came down. Man I have determined that wall paper is the root of all evil and there for is as Momma Boucher would put it the DEVIL:devil:. I never want anything to do with wallpaper again and have only done the downstairs bathroom and bedroom so far. 3 more rooms to go but I will eventually get to it.

Heres some pics of the the room after the paper came down. that shit has been up there for about 30 years.

I rented a wall paper steamer from home depot and it did the trick but still a pain in the ass:ic:

Agreed. It sucks and I'll never use the shit.

Congrats on the move out. It always feels nice. But now welcome to missing many rides because something at the house needs fixed or lawn cutting or somin. It's always somin!!!!

I have had to help me mum take wall paper down in 3 differnt houses when I was younger. After I moved out, I swore I'd rather tear out the walls and redo the dry wall than fuck with it ever again.
