View Full Version : Belt buckle mod

I got tired of looking at the 3 black plastic plugs I put in the holes for my license plate bracket.

So I 1) bought an HD Belt bucket 2) used a dremel tool to grind down the parts on the back 3) applied 3M auto-grade double stick tape, and 4) stuck that thang on the fender to cover the holes.

Thanks guys - I'm ready to tackle cams now, LOL.

I'm lucky that the buckle fits so well to the fender, The curve is perfect. And that 3M tape is crazy - that thing is stuck on there and does not freakin budge one bit.

That's boss. Much better than a chinsey piece of painted tin.
I'd have used 4 small machine screws or rivits through the end curls of the ribbons.. but I tend to error on the side of overkill.

Yeah, I saw that too, what can I do - no such thing as a bike without foreign made parts these days.

except a bike made in china LOL
wait, i wonder if they out source parts? lol

it does seem to fit the bike good. a nice trick for 3M tape is to heat it up first, sticks alot better.
