Not a debate of which is better, just a poll for curiousity...

I like Mobile 1 V-Twin, but the only place I could find it was Bishops and they are closed now. :(

Been running HD 20w50 since I bought the bike over ten years ago. Almost 100k mile on the old girl and she still runs like a top. No top end work. No rebuilds. Motor all stock. I expect it to go many many more miles. No need for synthetic oils in my scoot. Ive been changeing my oil every 3 to 5 miles since I owned it.

Edited- Missed a couple words. Suppose I should proof read better ...lol

Went out for my daily tithe to Starbucks, stopped by my local Wally's, none in stock despite the fact that their web site said they had some. So much for the best supply chain in the world, LOL

Kosher... Murrays USE to carry it but I think they quit when they went to O'rielleys.

Evo is a good motor Hawg. I knew a guy that had 60 or 70k on his 117" BDM S&S Evo. Still running strong.

I knew a few guys with 100k+ twin cam motors in the FLH bikes.

I knew a few guys with 100k+ twin cam motors in the FLH bikes.A lot of the shovelhead purists used to bitch about the Evo's but Id take another half dozen or so in a heart beat. Ive ran mine pretty hard. Running it down south at sustained speeds of 90/95 mph. It take a lick-in and keeps on ticking.

There was a story in American Iron magazine years ago about an old guy who put About 300k/400k (cant remember exactly) plus miles on an evo motor without a rebuild. He ran Dino oil and just kept it clean. Harley found out about and wanted the bike to tear down and see what they did right. So the old guy gave them the bike and I believe Harley gave him a new one.

Shell Aero 100, nothing, absolutely nothing runs hotter than an airplane engine. Recently, with 95,000 + miles on the odometer of my '06 Sportster, when repairing a broken exhaust stud I was able to take a look at the cylinder head and piston top and found them spotless with a barely perceptable carbon ring around the top of the cylinder. Good enough for me.

Yeah I've heard the stories about those knuckle guys... it happens with each "new" motor. Some EVO guys hate the TC. Many still hate the vrod motor. I'm good with any motor. I like EVOs cause I know more about them, more comfortable with them. But I must add, I don't mind my 09 TC either.

That's sweet about the HD exchange... It just shows that as long as you take care of shit, it SOMETIMES will last.

I have also heard of people running Shell Rotella in their motorcycles, mostly your hardcore diesel truck guys. Never tried it in a bike myself but there are several people that seem to swear by it for everything from trucks, to motorcycles, to lawn mowers :idk:
