So boyz 'n girlz - I say drain that crankcase of that heavy, unneeded oil, and let her rip.* It will save you about 6-7 pounds of useless weight.*

Wow, great article. Many years back, a buddy of mine rode an 82 650 Nighthawk, and never once did he do any maintenance on that damn motor, no oil changes or even CHECK the oil, no synching the carbs, no anything. Damn bike rode fine, and he pounded the hell out of it, for 40 or 50 thousand miles. Trying to keep up with ME of course.

The link doesnt work.* If I am assuming correctly, you are to do 0 maint on a bike?* I would at least change the oil every once in a while, because you start getting the fuel mixed in from blow-by and the oil starts breaking down.*

Can you fix the link?

I just tried the link and it worked.* The article is about a* couple of guys who drained the oil out of a Kaw sportbike, then ran it at redline for hours - until everything glowed cherry-red, even blew a hole in the muffler.* The next morning it started right up, witn NO oil in the crankcase.* Copy/paste the link in your browser.* The article is well worth reading and will blow your mind (no pun intended).

Those inline Jap engines are pretty tough man. I had a Kawi KZ inline twin and the thing was a tank; you couldn't stop it from running. (It was a/c though, not l/c as above)
