It only takes 24 seconds to steal a SET of HD saddlesbags

While I think it sucks to show everybody this, we have all heard of such thefts of saddlebags, seats, and/or tourpacks.

They have a whole line of various locks. Granted they are just security torx bits but it's probably just enough to deter.

I decided to pop for the saddle bag secures, tourpack bullet lock, and seat lock. I'll let you guys know when I get it and how it all looks.

So I got the Brukus lock systems I purchased. It's some seriously nice stuff and all MADE IN USA

1st up the docking BULLET lock

The stock docking pieces on HD are easy to remove, that is for ease of you, the owner, but also ends up being easy for Mr Thief. The sissy bar on my bike alone is nearly $300 with the pad.

A simply push of the bottom tab and it recesses allowing you to rotate the cam, then you can simply lift off the sissy bar. This is the same design even for my detachable tour pack.
http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l311/cjclark69/Ultra%20Classic/Mods/Brukus/Brukus005.jpg

A simple slid in of the Brukus BULLET and the tab can no longer be pressed up so you can't swing the cam to release the sissy bar or other attachment.

2nd is the seat locking bolt. It's really only a simple security torx bit, but the idea is, it's enough to deter the thief looking for the quick and easy score. He also probably isn't expecting to see the bit. He's probably expecting a thumb screw like I had.

A quick replacement and cover to make it look nice & smooth
http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l311/cjclark69/Ultra%20Classic/Mods/Brukus/Brukus022.jpg

Even got one for the Nightster, that actually has an expensive custom seat on it.
http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l311/cjclark69/Ultra%20Classic/Mods/Brukus/Brukus024.jpg

Next up is the saddlebag mounting hardware. The stock setup features this 1/4 turn style screw. Problem is, as their video showed, it's HIGHLY easy to twist off.
http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l311/cjclark69/Ultra%20Classic/Mods/Brukus/Brukus014.jpg

Simply spin it out, remove the saddlebag, remove the stock hardware tab and replace with the bruckus tab
http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l311/cjclark69/Ultra%20Classic/Mods/Brukus/Brukus018.jpg

Do this on both ends
http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l311/cjclark69/Ultra%20Classic/Mods/Brukus/Brukus017.jpg

Here's the new vs old hardware. The Brukus stuff is nice stainless steel!!
http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l311/cjclark69/Ultra%20Classic/Mods/Brukus/Brukus015.jpg

You then simple put the saddlebag back and screw in their security screws with the handy L shaped tool (provided). I ordered mine with the easy storage holder. You will also see the security torx bit that was also provided with the seat kit.

Screwing in the saddlebags, while irritating for the easy off/on for me, is less irritating than coming back to your bike and seeing your saddlebags gone!!

I like it, even though it's not cheap. It's simple and easy. Hopefully it deters any future crime. All of which was $97 shipped to my house. Remember, "cool aint' cheap" and it ain't cool to ride without your saddlebag where it belongs.

I like the fender security screw pictures. Is that an ostrich seat? And actually any pics of the new TourPack Bullet Secure are great, too.

By the way, the microfiber cloth is a freebie we include when a customer buys a certain amount of product. Thought I should make that clear.

I can that. Yes it's an ostrich seat by another sponsor and buddy of mine, badassbikeseats.com

Perhaps you should contact scott and see about starting a deal with him to include the seat secures with his custom seat jobs.

I will try and get more clear shots of the seat on the nightster and a better shot of the Bullet.

Some more clear pics with my better camera.

Here you can see the wife's custom seat that I have some good money in. It started out as an expensive Mustang seat then had it recovered by Scott at Badassbikeseats.com so it's worth keeping on MY bike where it belongs.

Here's another shot of a non-locked HD detach cam

And the one secured with the Brukus BULLET

Here's a shot of my Ultra's now secured seat. Look at how unnoticeable both the seat secure and the bullet is.

I really like the seat lock option. Kinda gives me an idea so I can secure the back of my seat since I put the new fender on the stock mounting doesnt work any more.

Remove the pin and you're ready to install, with nothing but a small screw driver

BAM BLAAM

As I said, it's a nice unit. I like that it looks like metal from the top but as you can see below. The bottom is a plastic type material, so it won't scratch up your fresh painted garage floor or new concrete driveway.
http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l311/cjclark69/Ultra%20Classic/Mods/Brukus/Earlyxmas007.jpg
http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l311/cjclark69/Ultra%20Classic/Mods/Brukus/Earlyxmas008.jpg

Plus you can see it's a hefty looking piece. But because of the plastic, it's actually very light weight.
