78 Honda CB750F. We lowered the frame rails, installed a seat and rear fender from a H.D. We built a custom oil tank and battery box, simplified the wiring and converted to a modern voltage regulator / rectifier. The motor came out of a 72 Honda CB750K, so we had to buy an offset countershaft sprocket to line up the chain. The tank is a repop Sportster.

It's a good running bike.

5" oil tank huh.... i know cause the points cover fits ahahahahaha. i did the same thing then changed my mind.
did you add some support in the rear at the seat tubes?
now add some rake to it and a longer frontend lol. i love my konged frame, it's my daily rider

4 1/2 " oil tank. I welded 3/4" nuts to some 1/8" steel plate, chucked up the nuts on my lathe, and turned the plate to 5". Welded it flush with the top of the oil tank tube, and now we have plenty of clearance for the chain. The battery box is seperate, so no loss of oil volume, still over 3 qts.

I added gussets under the seat and a strap under the fender for rear seat support. It's plenty strong.

The motor that was in that bike had low compression in cyls 2 and 3, so we stole the motor from my springer bike, and while we had it out decided to revamp.

My springer bike will get a hardtail this winter. My daily rider is my 1100 Yamaha nowadays; the Hondas are too hard on my back.

Gotta be your imagination....the 4 cable carbs are cool, aren't they?
