F you, ,you F'ing, F!

You have failed me. I heated you up, cherry red and imparted a gentle radius, so as not to introduce a harsh stress riser.
I quenched you in oil to retain your stiffness.
I smoothed you, and de-burred your bolt holes.
I sanded you and painted you to prevent rust.
AND THIS IS HOW YOU REPAY ME?!

Thanks to you, my wrist is in a brace. Indirectly, I must admit, but you made me angry.
My shoelace does a better job!
And zipties did an even better job!

An now something else will take your place.
As soon as Fabricator Kevin calls me back.

You suck,
Chris

V out the pieces and weld it up or make a new one BUT bend it cold, no heat.

It was only 1/8" mild but I thought that I was doing all of the right things.....
The new one is a much better design, it won't last forever, but will make a good template for the steel replacement.
Once Fab Kevin calls me back....

orange would have been better. you can mush & form at cherry, but orange to yellow is better for forming. Let it cool, then heat it bright cherry and stick it in a bucket of cat litter or sand to cool long and slow. reapeat at least once more. reminds me I need to get my forge up and running again.
