hello folks, my name is justin and i just joined the site. i used to have a 97 gsxr 600 but now im riding a 82 maxim 650. it sure is different riding a cruiser then my old bike, but its more relaxing and safer too. the maxim i have is a work in progress, but im going to have fun working on it, anyway just saying hi and if anybody is around ypsilanti and looking to cruise, let me know. later

omg, i just took the mufflers off to see what open headers would sound like, it screams hell! just a little to loud for me, i want it loud but not like that, what can i do to quiet it down just a little. should i run some straight pipe or what? im new to working on bikes, im learing as i go so help me out please lol. thanks

Search this site for baffles. There's some info about making your own.

or get some straight pipe from an auto parts store and weld it together they even have chrome tips or you could wrap them with exhaust tape...then like tele said you can make your own baffles or buy some. just google home made pipes and you should be able to find a shit ton of info...welcome to the site

I've thought about it, never went.

Mud is pretty easy to locate. Bright yellow bike and he's typically with a group of friends.
