Kicking back at home sippin on some hot coffee. Snow days FTW.

And before anyone gets bent out of shape, let me clarify: My work environment consists of rooftops, a rear wheel drive cargo van, and various indoor and outdoor mechanical rooms. My employer realizes the risks of inclement weather and makes accomodations for us for the sake of safety.

Probably one of the best professions ever, you can be wrong 50% of the time and still get paid top dollar....

Hell, I can do that, tomorrow, 50% chance of snow.... really? no shit.

Consider a baseball player. If they hit .300 they're doing their job only 30% of the time for $15m a year. Makes a weather man look pretty good!

Ya i worked 15 hours but the day went by fast. At least we didn't get stuck in the snow too much this time. we had just picked a patient up and as we were leaving got stuck in the snow but a guy in an f-150 with the license plate bluthndr saved us haha. Nobody shovels or plows anywhere in detroit last snow storm a few trucks had to call for a tow trucks to get us out. Aeryck I know what you mean about the rear wheel drive cargo vans cuz thats what our ambulances our essentially. They're based on the chevy 3500 and ford E-350 chassis so they definitely suck in the snow.

you'd think the ywould base it off a 4wd setup.... I mean we are in the snow belt...

That would be the smart thing to do but then it would cost them a lot more. We only have 3 mods which are based on dually truck chassis and although not 4x4 a lot better in the snow but 1 is our MICU and the other 2 are our fatty wagons.
