I moved here from Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia. I definitely noticed several of those and the way Ford, KMart, Meijer etc. get a possessive "s" on the end. We had a neighbor pronounced boots the same way as roof. Makes sense I guess, but a lot of people say ruff and boots, not butts.

Take that from a guy who says oweshun wuter, lol.

i always thought we had no accent until a guy from Tennessee called me on it..

Well, all I know is that the people everywhere in the country, speak like I do on the news. I would say everyone else has an accent.
