I'm looking for a cheap project. I'm thinking of something like a mid 70's Honda CB750 or so, Yamaha XS650 or so, or a Suzuki GS of sorts. Let me know what you have please.

Where are you? I come across them from time to time. Sounds like you don't have a truck to go fetch em with, tho. I went Kawi because the bad guys in 'Mad Max' all rode KZs. They seem to be cheaper and less common. I love a Yamaha though.

Bob: F.Y.I. May 13th,(Friday 13th), largest rally in Canada over on the shore of Lake Erie. I have never been anywhere that I saw so many old English and Metric bikes at one time, unbelievable, you may want to check it out. We plan on riding over. I've been in touch with Jeff at Rocky's H.D., London and they may be putting on a free breakfast that morning.

Yeah, I posted #7 in that thread. When we went a couple years backt was October, 35 degrees, 50 m.p.h. gusting winds, rain, sleet, and hail. Stopped at the rest area on 401 for a quick pitstop had some Canadians approach us as we were just about the only bikes in the whole lot, all the rest were cars and trucks with bike stickers and stuff. They wondered who or what we were, took a look at our license plates shook their heads and went off muttering something about CRAZY YANKS. I think those are the ones you always remember the most.

Thanks fat. I'll probably end up in a KZ440 that a relative of mine has for sale. We need a new car as well so whatever I find has to be cheap. I can probably get the KZ for a few hundred but I have to go take a look at it first. It's sat outside all winter.

Thats a sweet xs! Id love to have it. I scoured CL for "trade" and came up with a nice 87 Virago just needed some minor repairs, fix a couple oil leaks, and a tire. Get something soon. Spring is fast approaching. I would have ridden today if it were rgistered yet.
1043 What are you looking for? I'll help ya find something.
My buddy just took his sons Maxim away from him cuz he left it in his garage over the winter. Got my welder and grinder ready to start mods on it.

I honestly don't know. I didn't even go look at it. I just wasn't feeling it. I'll probably stop looking and then one that intrigues me will just pop up. LOL That's usually what happens.
