Hello folks,

Just found my way to the site and glad to see that there are a lot of people here trying to distract themselves from the snow and rider un-friendly weather!

I'm a mechanical engineer, working mostly with performance cars, and decided on a whim to scoop up a 2009 Ninja 250r. I've been bitten by the bug and now have a Suzuki GSX-R600 that I pretty much rebuilt from the frame up as a project. I'm thinking the next one will be a cruiser just to keep sampling all the different types!

I look forward to coming around here often until the snow melts to talk bikes!

Hey...welcome.

Good to see another gear head. I love anything that takes petro and makes horsepower.

Post up some pics of your bikes. Let's see em!

The 2006 Suzuki GSX-R600 project: watch it grow! :D

I hear that man on the build is fun. More fun is to ride it... but good luck with that now! Grrrr

Looks good man.

Welcome to the forums! You'll fit right in! I started on a 250, got a GSXR750 for a track bike, sold the 250, got a FZR600 to ride on the street, got rid of the FZR and GSXR and got a Vulcan 800, got rid of the Vulcan and am on a FZ1 that I'm trying to sell right now. hahaha I change bikes more than underwear.

Welcome! Nice little slide show on the gsxr project.

I myself, have been looking at buying a clean GSXR or R6 frame (if I can find one for the right price) and putting one together since you can get most of the parts very reasonable on craigslist and ebay.

Thanks on the compliments, folks! I bought it from the PO with a spun bearing. I pulled the old motor and tore it down to inspect, meanwhile installing a new mill. The whole deal was supposed to be my winter project, but I had everything disassembled, detailed, and put back together in six days...oh well.

Yeah I think we're all climbing the walls , I know I've already got a bad case of cabin fever . I was in Pompano Florida a couple of weeks ago to pick up a scooter and look around for a winter home . It was in the 80's every day . I am going to be heading down again to the gulf side to look around that area . I have a friend in Lehigh and he says you can get a home there for 50 to 60K . I guess they over built a bit . Any way I'm climbing the walls now and there is another 3 months before the snow melts .

You sound like me. My winter project took like 2 weeks and was don well before winter even came.

My winter project has been postponed due to lack of funds.. I am pretty confident though my share of the bailout money and my profit sharing from bailing out general motors with out tax money checks are in the mail! i called my local government representative's office and they said STOP FUCKING CALLING HERE DIPSHIT.. I think that means I am about to get PAID!
