Yeah or former owners. :)

You were saying the the fighter forums that you really liked your old GS 750? I think I'm going to go look at one this weekend if it's still available. I've been wanting a 70's air cooled metric bike for a while now. I think if I end up getting one and liking it I might sell off the FZ1 and keep the older bike and if i don't like it i'll just sell it come spring.

p.s. Anything I should look out for? It has 20K+ miles but from what I've read that really is not bad for these bikes.

My first bike was GS750 75 or 76-can't remember now. I bought it used in about 84 All I remember was taking off the stock exhaust and putting on black 4 into from JC Whitney 1. Rode it about 5 years never had a problem. Nice running bike.

Standard stuff, if it runs and rides and shifts into every gear and the clutch doesn't slip you should be fine. The only common failure they had was the stator so I suggest you bring a mild tool kit and a voltmeter with you if you're fastidious with your purchases.

Almost everything on the bike can be replaced with newer Suzuki parts, for instance Suzuki still uses the fork internals for that bike on some new models.

$800 is just a little on the high side for one of them in Michigan so if it has any maintenance it needs done or any broken parts then I'd talk him down, $600-700 is perfectly reasonable for any operable GS750.
