Welcome.

Several guys can help, but let me make a suggestion. Used bikes are cheap this time of the year. You may find it less expensive to buy one that runs and use the engine. If you're going to spend the money for a big bore kit anyway, may as well just buy a used 750 and be done with it.

Welcome Chris. If that's the one I saw on craigslist I had the same idea. Big bore (750) kit! Get a manual and a parts book, you'll find it invaluable.

Welcome.

Got your PM and now I understand your problem.

I agree with Tele. I would think a donor motor would be better, because you are missing allot of stuff.

Unless Chris' links yield easy to find parts. I know those Yammy 650s are a hot item now a days.

I think I recall a few guys going last year or the year before. Gas Man probably went because it's guaranteed to be packed with dudes in leather. He loves that sort of thing. The bikes, Mudpuppy said is just a cover.

Well you're buying at the perfect time. The curve is upward with the economy getting slightly better. Even houses are starting to pick up slightly. Plus it being winter is a good time to buy. However, you will not see a big flux of bikes for sale till Mar/Apr.
