If I look at a used bike that is not running what is the easiest way to check to see if the motor is seized?

My favorite way is removing the spark plugs (or not) and pushing the bike with the trans in gear.

or spin the crank
or give the kicker a shot

Turning the crank by hand is the most reliable way ;p

So if I put it in gear and roll it it's going to roll weather the engine is seized or not right? The thing is the bike has a full fairing and it'll be a pain to pull it off to get to the plugs. I want to check it quick.

If the engine is seized then the bike won't roll in gear without overcoming the clutch.

If this is the case you're looking at the wrong motorcycle. All your Harleys spark plugs will be easily accessed. :D
