Are you talking about the mohawks that stick to your helmet? Completely gay.

The price tends to scare me. I'd stay away. If you have a $50 head, get a $50 helmet.....

I'm not saying you need to get an $800 helmet but those helmets are cheap for a reason.

they are still DOT approved and they are probably 50 bucks because you have never heard of them and they are probably uncomfortable. when it comes to my helmet if im not comfortable im not wearing it. which is why i don't like to wear a full face helmet because i haven't found any that don't irritate me.

Agreed. I'd look at Sportbiketrackgear.com . They are in Michigan and usually have AWESOME clearance prices. It's where I got my Scorpion EX-400 and love the helmet.

For me... if you're going to go full face... go modular. PERIOD. Way way nicer for real world.

If you're looking for a full face the Scorpion EXO 1000's are going around 40% off right now ($180-200) and they are really nice. I'm not a fan of the modulars cause I was looking at a KBC and right on the modular piece it stated "This helmet will not protect you in a crash". Might as well be wearing a happy meal box.

Wait, so a Happy meal Box is not protecting me?

I agree, i love my Scorpion and it's the most comfortable helmet I've ever worn. LOTS of air flow too and quiet.

i just dont like the feeling of something that close to my face. i used to wear one on snowmobiles and my moped when i was 14 but ever since i went to half its just wierd.

Yeah, I think it's like you either like 1 way or the other. I don't like the wind in my face and I like the protection of a full face. But I know a lot of people that get claustrophobic in a full face. I will say that I hated my HJC cheapo because it sounded like I did not have a helmet on because it let so much wind in around seals and stuff. My Scorpion though breathes so nice and it's really quiet. It did a good job of blocking the sound of straight pipes on my Vulcan too.

i agree and i have to go full face.. not a big fan of half shells or the lack of protection they provide..

ya having the protection is nice and i do wear a 3/4 that makes me look like an alien but keeps it quieter and gives more protection since the half lid i wear is only a novelty. i also have a cheapo fulmer full for winter rides.
