At least he was honest about it. That's a start. I actually think I've seen you post on the Michigan Sportsman site before. I used to go there often but have not in a while.

I was just over in Allagan today, then went to the Woodward Cruise and hung out with a few friends.
Must have been something going on in Holland or K-zoo. Saw a lot of bikes out in groups. Even a few scooters on the expressway.

I still visit the michigan sportsman site every so often. Mostly around deer season to see the monster bucks.

Amen!

How many tickets do you write in any given week? Remember you're under "forum oath". LOL

Does your city/county/other pressure you guys to write more tickets?

SuperTrooper

I dont write alot of tickets. If im writing a ticket you did something stupid. Our command staff doesnt give us direction on tickets unless citizens are complaining about speeders ect.

Yeah citizen hot spots are always going to happen. It's those cities like Taylor, Romulus, etc that use tickets as revenue for budget crunched cities that strikes a nerve.

F all that mud. I-275?

Mudpuppy
08-24-2010, 02:33 PM
yes I-275.. 73 in a 60 construction zone.. i honestly thought i was doing like 60-65.. i wasn't even intentionally speeding.. just before he stopped me there had been cars in front of me and i was following them in no hurry - i had 11 hours to drive to atlanta did it matter if i got there at 9pm or 9:35pm? not really.. but he busted my balls all over the pavement.. it wasn't an area where anyone was working just an extension of the 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00001" of pavement they were working on - i.e. a revenue generating zone that feeds out of the fear of the brainwashed walmart nation citizens by spreading propaganda about how their families will be brutally raped and killed if you go 1mph over the speed limit in an empty construction zone where really they don't need to block the road for 800 miles when they are only working on a small section..

then basically they take your money they generated and piss it away on government spending that is dictated by government intelligence.. which is basically a term for lack thereof intelligence..

it's a lovely failed piece of shit system we live in.. don't mind me while i go drink some of the sodium panthenol laced kool aid and wait for the fucking mothership..

Just to be devils advocate....

It was for 73 in a 60. Speed limit there is still 70 when it isn't a construction site. You were in the wrong all the way around bucko.

Granted, there are a ton of times I can agree with ya, but face it bro-ham, there are speed limit signs every 5 feet and I'm sure your vehicle has a working speedometer. I do feel ya though man, felt the same way when I got ticketed for blowing a "No turn on red, 8AM-8PM" sign at 8:15AM. But, I do take responsibility...I saw the sign and I chose to say, "C'mon...it's 15 mins and there is no one on the road. Fuck it, I'm going." I wasn't happy about the ticket and less happier when I realized that intersection was being targeted...2 other cars got pulled over at the same time. At the end of it all, I still was the one who twisted the throttle and let out the clutch while that damn light was red.

At $191, it sounds like he at least gave ya a BIT of a break...traffic fines are doubled in work zones, and the last ticket I got for just 5-over was like $140...He write ya for the full 13 over and just not write it up as being in a work zone?

Oh! And welcome SuperTrooper!

What kind of cruiser you wanting to get man?

Bob
08-25-2010, 09:19 PM
Mud, Romulus blows man. The airport and the airport cops have been fighting with the city for a couple years now. The airport gets pissed because the local cops set up all of these speed traps and it pisses off the vacationers and they are afraid people might stop coming into the airport. The airport even rented bill board space not that long ago warning drivers of the speed traps.

Not sure on what kind of cruiser yet. Still looking around. As far as the ticket in a construction zone...... If there isnt any workers present it is not an active construction zone.... Fight it :)

Wow that is pretty crazy.. not the first I have heard of feuds between airport and law enforcement.. i know airport operations and wayne county sheriffs don't exactly get along..

I would but they changed it to double parking so i just paid the fine - they just want my money so i gave it to them.. to fight it would cost me a lot more than a mere $191.. i would have to take a day off work, sales lost, mileage, etc. my time is worth a lot more than that..
