Anyone ever been? Is it any good? It's Tuesdays in Depot Town, might run up there. Weather is supposed to clear by 3.

I've been going for the last 5 years, or so. Watched it grow from 10-15 bikes to 50-100, on a good night. The nice thing is you can also get a burger/beverage at the Side Track or Aubrey's. Bikes usually start arriving around 5 - 5:30.

Also, as FZ1Bill sez, this Saturday 6/26 is the BIG EVENT, The Ton Up Motorcycle & Music Festival, runs from noon to midnight, in Depot Town.

If it's not raining tonight I'll be in Ypsi. I'll definitely be there this Saturday, hope to see lots of 2Wheelers there.

Yeah, there's a post up about the Ton Up this Saturday, I've asked if anyone is thinking about going. So far Zamochit and RZ have responded.

to get our group headed that way but they're hell bent on Snapper's in Fenton. Maybe next time.

Real Talk!

I ended up not going... was really debating it by mid afternoon... leaning towards no due to heat, figured it would be dead due to. But then life got all jacked and ran out of time...

I think I'm gonna drop in there tomorrow, been busy and not paying attention to what's happening local so I haven't been to this meet. Sounds like a good time.

I assume the show/meet is in Frog Island park, but I'm sure it won't be hard to find in Ypsi. Hope to meet a few of you there.

I think they just line up on Cross Street.

I think they just line up on Cross Street.

Yup, usually lined up and down both sides of Cross st; they cordon off the area for bike-only parking.

I've gone a couple times and there was a pretty decent turnout. Not much to do there but Aubrey's does have awesome pizza.

Sidetrack Lounge has one of the top 20 burgers in the US. I had no idea until a few weeks ago, so I tried one. Yup, it's pretty good.

Is there a nice back road way to get there?

telecast
07-12-2010, 06:49 PM
Yep, right up until you get into town. I can show you several depending on how you want to go. They'll all end up on Stony Creek or Whitaker, coming in from the South.

Google is showing me Telegraph to Michigan. Anything better that won't take too much longer? I'd like to try and hit it up one night.

Are they still on Wednesdays?

Will Carleton to Whittaker is one route, but the bridge may still be closed at 275

Van Horn to Willow to Whittaker is a good one. Turn right on Whittaker.

Whittaker becomes Huron St. in town. Stay on it, turn right on East Cross Street,

You're there.

See if this link works. It's to a Yahoo Map. For some reason Google kept trying to give a weird route around Whittaker and Textile. Maybe because it used to be dirt up there, but it's been paved for years.

Link removed, see next post.

When you turn on Whittaker Road you'll come into Whittaker. There'll be a post office, a fiire station and just before you cross the tracks there's a small general store on your left. If you decide to go let me know and I'll meet you at the store.

Here's a better one, The first link kept going to a 275/94 route then reverting to this one, but the directions never changed. This one is right.

Will carleton bridge over 275 is open now, not sure about Willow. Last time I was up Whittaker it was completely shut down between Textile and Huron River Drive (fathers day weekend) - may be open now

That's all done. There's now a pleasant little roundabout at Stony Creek and Whittaker.

I hated them my first few times through, but after using the ones at Lee Road and US23 quite a bit I like them a lot. The biggest problem is the newbies. Little old ladies panic when they get into one for the first few times. After a few months the locals all get used to it.

They must've finish the Will Carleton Bridge and moved up to Willow since I went through.

Me too man. I hated them at first but love them now and wish they had more around, and wished they'd educate the public on them more. They have tons of education material on their website but old people don't use computers so what good is that?
