hello all, im Dan. im 25, im from paw paw, mi. and ive been riding since i was 6. lol. well, 18 on the road.

Ive had a share of bikes, including a 91 cbr600f1, 2007 cbr600rr, a 73 harley bobber, and i currently have a 88 yamaha radian, and a 2000 gsxr600, that, well, seen better days before it met the pavement at 90mph. *dont worry, it was at gingerman* not on the street.

i am a mechanic by trade. and i love bikes. quads, dirtbikes, etc.

I look forwards to hopefully meeting some of you, and maybe even riding with some.

Welcome to the board.

I know quite a few people that had "issues" at Gingerman. Personally I love the track but a lot of people I know do not.

Im not gonna lie, i love gingerman. I just came into the corner to strong where i shouldn't have. it was definately rider error not the track.

yep not hard to do at all.. i have had a lot of close calls at gingerman including about a 5-10' front tire slide in turn 3 where i thought for sure i was low siding but sheer will kept me from going down - i refused to go down and at the last second i gave it full throttle and with all my might pulled the bike out of the slide.. wish i had video of that it was pretty spectacular.. that's when i decided to say goodbye to the michelin m3s and go back to pilot powers.. for some reason everyone i know that had those went down on lap 8 and that was lap 8.. and i was running some of my best times..

i am definitely going to gingerman in august for ducati days (and $100 track day)..

small world. i was running M3s on my gsxr. i was coming out or the last corner on lap 7. heading into lap 8.

ive only been there twice, but once i get some new forks and a front wheel, im streetfighting the rest of the bike and ill be back out there.

yeah i did not like the M3s at all.. quite ironic that lap 8 isn't it? they got sticky really fast instilled confidence and then got slick as hell.. i probably only did 2 or 3 track days on them and maybe 500 street miles before i went back to pilot powers.. the M3s also were 70s in the front so tip in was fantastic but coming out of the turn was hell.. it was like dead lifting 400 lbs.. the R6 normally takes 60s and that is what i prefer.. more neutral in and out.. i might try the CT2s next but depends on how much when i get my slush money together for my tire budget.. right now they are running a mega sale on them..
