Dominick Calhoun Memorial ride

I ran across this on another board and I am hoping the gentleman who posted this and is organizing this event will come over here to 2wheel. I think this is a great reason to get together and I would like to get everyone on the board to participate. This is being put together by Ricerider69 on Club Chopper.

Hey all,,I am organizing a charity ride to benefit Tyler Baker,,the brother of Dominick Calhoun.

Ride registration is $15.00, and an extra $5.00 for a passenger. Registration is from 9-11am on August 7th, at Snappers on the Water, 6484 Bennett Lake Rd., Fenton Mi, 48430. This is an approximately 70 mile poker run, with spaghetti dinner to follow, also at snappers. there will be a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and possibly live music. All proceeds will go into a trust fund for Tyler, who is going to have a very tough road ahead of him. If you are not familiar with the situation, here are some links to the story.....

Zamochit,,

Thanks for the help here. I am working on getting a flyer uploaded. I am starting to get the impression this thing is going to be huge. I went out and rode the route the other day,,lots of nice country roads. Should be a good ride. If anyone is interested in helping out,,I will need some volunteers to give out the poker hands at the bars. Also,,If there are any buisiness owners who would like to donate items for a silent auction/door/raffle prizes, please contact me at DCmemorialride@yahoo.com .

Since Im new here,,and no one knows me,,My name is Chris. I live in Argentine. I dont know either side of this family, but saw a need to do something to support my community and started putting together this ride. This is the first time I have ever done anything like this,,and I am learning a whole new respect for what goes in to planning one of these things!

Thanks again to Zamochit, and everyone who shows up to support this cause. Now Im gonna get this flyer uploaded, and go ride my bike!

Looks like a great thing you're doing. I'd totally go but I'll be out of town that weekend.
