I think this may be a cool event to hit. I may even have my bike done in time.

It's been years since I've gone to the cruise. I's like ot hit up one of these or even both.

My buddy has a 62 Starfire that he's hoping to have done by then, otherwise I'm sure we'll be out there on the bikes.

This is next Saturday, anyone going? sounds like fun.

All except the photo booth part: "Get shot on your own bike."

That skeers me....

No plans next weekend (thank god!) so it's a possibility. Although as of now, the weather doesn't appear to be cooperative.

I'm planing to go Saturday. So far the weather isn't looking good. Not afraid of a little rain, but T-storms may kill it.

Agreed. And not just so much for me, but when NG and I went to the spring show in Holly, it was pretty f'ing scarce. The year previous you couldn't hardly walk down the streets there were so many damn bikes. This year...lucky if there were 25. I have a feeling this one will be the same way. Can't say I really blame 'em. If I spent all that time and money in restoration, I'd be damned if I set it out in the rain.

I may go... depends on weather and my mid night work sked. Definately not early... I'm talking after lunch. I gots to sleep ya know.

The wife wants to ride 2 up. I told her we need to before our trip in July so we see if she needs anything adjusted or added to the bike.

Looks like the forecast is improving. Probably another one of those nice days with pop-up storms later.

If you're going post some 'about' times so we can all try to meet up. Right now I'm wide open for the day.

I don't mind a bit of rain, but hopefully the weather forecast keeps improving. Not sure when we're rolling out yet; haven't planned that far. We just know we're going. =]

Hoping to head that way around 3 or 4. We got suckered into helping someone move, but it's going to be the fastest move in history.

Either that or I'm going to have the g/f smack me in the face with a frozen mackerel and we'll say I had to go to the hospital due to a concussion from a bar fight the night before...or simply, "The underpants gnomes stole all my drawers and I am not moving someone while going commando".

...either way, later in the afternoon here.

You didn't miss much. Some cool old bikes, that was about it. One good band, one crappy band. Maybe it'll gear up later.

I just got back. I'll never get the wife to go to another bike event again. This probably was our 3rd bike event that wasn't worth the drive too. I got there around 5 and it was pretty much dead and people were loading their bikes up. I did get a few shots off. I'll post a couple pics up when I get my flash drive to work. I had some camera problems all day. I was hoping to run into a few of you there, but we bailed around 7.

I think there are too many. Any given weekend you have several events/rides to choose from. Exibits and vendors are getting spread too thin, along with the bikes themselves. We'd be further ahead with a few really kick ass events than the watered down fare we're getting.

WOW Guess hangin around the house after I woke up around 1300 was more worth while. Did they charge admission? I did a bunch of shit around the house today.

NinjaGirl

No admission. There were cool british bikes there, that's about it. You didn't miss much.

I agree. Plus I think a lot of bikers around here would rather be out riding then hanging. I know when I got for rides I don't even like to stop to eat, I just want to ride. LOL

It was Ok for what it was. I don't think the brit clubs draw big crowds anywhere but still some decent iron was there. It was too Damn hot to sit around for long so I left around 2:00 and went for a ride through depot town then headed for Ohio

Did any of you see the Ural? That was a pretty interesting bike.

I gotta' remember to take a camera to these things.

The dark red one with the side car? I parked right by it.

It wasn't too bad...think we were there around the same time as Zam. Seen a lot of bikes getting loaded up and vendors packing it in. If I were to guess, I just dont think it was promoted enough. All in all, it was nice to see an event with a wide variety of bikes for a change. just wished it was bigger.

Anyone else catch the "wrestling"? ...Wow. Just...wow.

Yeah, I guess it depends on time. If I only have a couple hours I just want to ride. If I have 1/2 day I don't mind stopping.

I caught the wrestling. I bought my kids some food and let them watch.

It was black. Right across the pathway from the red one. 2-wheel drive, the sidecar wheel was connected by an axle. It looked old and the owner was helping that by not cleaning anything, but it was fairly new.

Yeah, that is always good. A couple years ago we road for about 6 hours. Started in Rockwood and took the long way to Irish Hills, ate and took the long way back.
