So you want a used truck? Let me know what you're looking for. I was a used car mgr for years, I now wholesale and do some internet retail.

Bottom line is, there are lots of ways to buy a truck. If you're intrested , PM you're phone #, I'll do my best to help you out.

I got a salesman at Demmer:

Dan Freeman

Great guy

M: 517-937-4360

His card says cash reward for every referral sold - you could take the cash back and do whatever (buy me a beer if you are so inclined)

Village Ford in Dearborn. Talk to Steve Miscuk. We've gotten out last 2 vehicles from him and I would never deal with another salesman or dealership besides this one.

I've had good dealings with Demmer as well. I wouldn't reccomend Suburban in Sterling Heights to anyone. I'm not sure about their sales department, but I get all my service done at Hines Park in Milford and are quite happy with them. They also seem to always have a large selection on their used lot.

He lives in Southgate. I'm not sure about you guys but I don't want to have to drive 45mins to get to "my" dealer. Regardless of brand.

That's why I brought up Demmer...not too far from Southgate. Not really familiar with any dealers any further down that way. As far as "my" dealer...I bought my F150 from Suburban in Sterling Heights...I'll be damned if I ever go back. "My" dealer is Hines Park in Milford. Warranty is good anywhere. *Shrug* Suburban just happened to have exactly what I wanted when I was looking.

For a good dealer I'd drive far. My Subaru dealer was in Commerce. Loved dealing with the salesman we had. I'd rather drive and give my money to someone I liked. I've had horrible experiences with Gorno and Southgate and won't go there any more.

september is a good time to buy.. especially if you buy a 2010 because the 2011 models will be out and you get good deals when they are clearing out the previous model year..

wherever you go hope you get a good deal and sales and service.. regardless of the dealer you got the Ford part right..

Too bad gas still isn't $4 a gallon. That does wonders for truck prices too. Mine is a 2005 that I bought used last year...extended cab...Lariat package...4x4...its like if a tank had sex with a Cadillac. Loaded to the hilt. MSRP at new was pushing $38k...I picked it up with just a touch over 50k miles on it when gas was $4 a gallon back in 2008...I paid just over $15k out the door. I see similar ones (+/- 1 year) around now...with more mileage going for $18-20k w/o tax and title. So glad I'm less than 10 mins from work. ;-)

Agreed! We took my wife's old ZX2 in multiple times while it was under warranty and every time they'd have it all day and just reset the ECU.
