For you to get out there on your first ride this season?

I was waiting for a rain and finally did take my first run.

You finishing up some mods or repairs?

Waiting on rain?

Testicals haven't dropped yet?

Higher temps?

Snow melt?

Muddy trail to bike storage location?

Provide pics as evidence in stating your case.

Now, just waiting for the rain to stop. Monday looks good, and we'll have an extra hour of afternoon sun by then too, so a quick ride after work is inevitable!

Here's a picture of rain

I figure most people here know what it looks like, but since you asked...

Here's another. This is a picture showing people using umbrellas to keep them dry from the rain.

...not yet having plates on one bike, and the other is 150+ miles away in my Mom's garage. Hoping to have at least one remedied by Wednesday, and maybe the other by next Sunday. ;-)

You didn't post pics. If I can post pics of rain, surely you can come up with something, like an empty license plate bracket, or a map to your mom's house.

Gotta' follow the rules. He wants pics documenting our excuses.

Unless someone's testicles haven't dropped yet, we don't need pics of that. A recording of your three-octave-too-high voice will be sufficient.

For me it'll be warmer weather and most likely new tires. My tires are almost bald. Although I've thought about trying to get one more season out of them but I know when I'm laying in the middle of an intersection one day I'll think to myself, "Why didn't I get new tires on first?!"

That's actually across the narrow end...maybe 1/4 mile wide, but length wise it is a bit over a mile. Spent most of my childhood on that lake. What is now my mom's house, used to be our summer cabin. ;-)

Yeah what's the project?
New bars, Supertrapp XR pipes, rearsets, oil, plugs, jet and go. The brake cylinder gets relocated due to the rearsets and the line needs to take a longer route due to big hot megaphone's in the way.
I also bought a new (to me) fender to chop up but I'm running out of time.

Here's my week. I've been trying to get the bike out since it stopped raining.

Get home from work Monday
Wife: "We're going out to dinner with (daughter and SIL) to celebrate the pregnancy. Meet us at Olive Garden." Most overpriced crappy chain food ever. Big Boy's Chicken Parmesian is better. Bleah.

Get home Tuesday:
Check the tires. Need air. Compressor empty, fire it up. Start piddling with new overhead bins that need to be hung while waiting. Measure brackets for bins. Cut one to length, phone rings, cabinet customer, keeps me on the phone asking questions for an hour. Eat dinner. Never even got the air in the tires.

Get home Wednesday:
Open the garage, check the air compressor. CRAP. Slow leak somewhere, probably the regulator, gotta find it, but later. Fire it up. Move the overhead bin out of the way that never got hung yesterday. Grab the chuck and gauge. Wife comes out, phone call. Wife informs me as she's handing me the phone that her sisters and BIL are coming over for corned beef and cabbage. The BIL wants to see the bike. I consider telling her to enjoy the meal with her family and tell the BIL to look at some pictures of the bike. Thought better of it. Ate dinner but scowled a lot.

This morning:
"DO NOT PLAN A F**CK**G THING FOR ME TODAY." I will be home early enough that no one will suspect I'm here and try to call. I'm going to go for a ride. If you have plans that include me, please feel free do whatever it is by yourself."

Met meinschaft for a ride yesterday, first time with him on his new Fazer, we took it easy as the roads are a little dirty in spots. All in all was a good first ride. I needed it, the fresh air, the make me feel alive again feeling, damn I love riding. I even overlooked the cell phone talking idiots, one in particular that road my ass on M59 while she yaked away oblivious to what she was doing.

As FZ1Bill said, he let me ride w/him yesterday. He even swung by and picked me up. Got a chance to show him some twisties, part of the WSL (west side loop). We stopped in Hell at the Dam Site Inn. I figured it would be loaded w/bikes (St. Patrick's Day?) but we must have arrived too early. I like stopping there cuz I'm nearly always the ONLY non-HD there. It was my 1st time out since 11/24/09, dam, it was superfine to be out there and the weather was incredible.

Got home from work and announced I was off for a quick ride. My wife says" Hey, what about me?"

Crap. I forgot the kids are at an Our Lady Peace concert. Ok, so I went out for about a half hour by myself, came back home, threw the sissy bar on, and took her out to Boneheads, a decent little rib joint in the tiny village of Willis that usually has about a dozen bikes out front.

We pull up and there's one other bike. Hmmmm...it looked familar. Turned out my wife's sister and boyfriend were inside having dinner. So we tossed a few back and had a burger.

No near misses or idiot drivers, so a highly successful first ride.

First ride was 01/01/10, and have added about 2,500 miles since then. Mods to the '06R are about 90% complete and it made the run to Florida. I think the weather here was actually better than what we experienced down South, except for Key West where I think it hit 70. Gotta love running the bridges with sunshine and blue skies!

As much as I do miss running service, this is one reason I don't. Unfortunately, I'm not as lucky as Gas where I can park inside...although I do joke about it. LoL Pretty much every day I could ride to work last year, I did. Going to be the same way this year.

Well I haven't had them question me. There are only a few places I can see them look at the bike a bit... entering other companies facilities with my bike (as I do multiple times a week). But my arguement is this... that company doesn't care and you (my company) took away my company truck so piss off I'll drive/ride what I want.

When do we go?

Hmmmm... its a dream vacay at this point.

Mad, I am planning on attending Carlisie this year... you consider it?

Ahh...so the name "Gas Man" isn't refering to flatulence. ;-)

Seems we're dependant on the same resources. Takes a lot of gas to make this run:
http://i787.photobucket.com/albums/yy154/garrethwolfe/Misc/100_0229.jpg
Cummins QSK23 23L diesel inline 6 cylinder producing 900HP and in the neighborhood of 3000 ft. lbs. of torque. In the foreground is a QSB3.3...diesel inline 4 with about 85HP.

...or if it's NG that you deal in, there is this one:
http://i787.photobucket.com/albums/yy154/garrethwolfe/Misc/100_0230.jpg
Cummins KTA38 38L natural gas V12 generating roughly 600HP and 2500 ft. lbs of torque.

This is where I want to park my bike once I get our engineering team to move their damned trailer...I'm thinking the echo would be deafening. LoL:
http://i787.photobucket.com/albums/yy154/garrethwolfe/Misc/100_0231.jpg
The unit on the trailer is a Cummins QSB6.7 6.7L diesel inline 6 cylinder putting out 290HP and roughly 700 ft. lbs. of tourque. It's pretty much close to identical to the engine in the Cummins powered Dodge Rams. Especially the one in the picture. It's a prototype to meet the new Tier 4i EPA regulations coming up in 2011. Being that all of our products are "off highway", we're 1 step behind the "on highway" market. i.e. all the requirements that we have to meet in 2011 are the ones "on-highway" had to meet in 2007.
