I'm new around here, but not to motorcycles, fabrication and Michigan.
I ride and build old school 70s choppers. My daily driver "the blue bitch" is a '72 CB750 (836) in a finch rigid frame and finch springer, riding today just like it was in '78 when the motor got punched out.
I'm also into drag cars and do a bit of work on them as well.

I typo'd when I registred, it's supposed to be SPROCKET, heck, with only 2 posts I'll prob just start over and do it right.
Gotta set up hosting for pics before I can post, or is there another way to upload here?

I'm not familiar with vBulletin, but Bob might be able to just fix it for ya. I believe you can upload to the site, but the size is limited. Photobucket is free and easy though!

The best way is image hosting site, but you can add pics to a post by going advanced, then scroll down and click on "manage attachments". Just browse and click and you'll get this:

Nice! One of the greatest eras in chopperdom. Love the King/Queen seat and trident bitch bar. Great bike!

(that's 'eras', not 'ears'!)

It's definitely a survivor and I'm keepin it that way.
It's coming apart today so I can bush the front legs. I'm gonna take a few liberties to make it more stable, like tying the front legs together under the lower springs. The independent legs can occillate at speed on fast sweepers, like an AMEN savior but in front. Phucking spooky!
The pipes are 4-2, painted VHTflat blue 'cause I can't afford chrome right now.
I built the forwards and pipes, and threw some Accell coils and wires on it.
Otherwise, I'm freshening up the motor paint and frame paint, that 30 year old laquer is beat up. I'm preserving the graphics though, masking them off and clear the whole thing to finish.

The button tucks on the seat have smiley faces on em... :)

Welcome Sprocket...

Have you tried a fork brace?

Not adding anything extra in plain sight. The "leg connector" will be mostly hidden behind headlights and will do the job I need it to. Both sides just need to function together.
Basically I'm replacing the lower spring perch (an aluminum disc on each side) with a one piece lower perch that won't let one side compress or extend at different rates as the other side.

Bike's tore down to major components, frame, forks, motor, wheels...
Gonna try and have the paint work done in the next few weeks, springer work should be done in the next few days.
