Some people don't know when to quit. I can feel my arms going numb just looking at it!

You ever rode one? I'm guess not bud.

They are actually comfortable and very well handling (don't think sportbikes).

Cutter has a real nice set of 1.5" diameter calarni apes on his RK. F'in sweet and very well handling!

Plus this 02 Duece that I worked on and rode a couple times. Loved it. And throughly embraced the look. Now I like em.

Nope never ridden with apes but they look dumb. Beach cruiser bars are dumb too. I like the low drag bar look. What if a car pulls out in front of you? How are you going to turn if your arms are already extended?

So how many times you turned your bars radically at speed?

Anything higher than drag bars are fucking stupid.

I sure as hell wouldn't want drag bars on my Road King.

Come to think of it, I don't really care for drag bars.

Hmmmm....

"Anything as low as drag bars are fucking stupid."

LOL

See what we started Rider!

Hoenstly though. The apes aren't that much over what many bars already are. 10" over or whatever. Many cruiser bars have a natural upward bend.

LOL Hey man, I'm new to the cruiser world. I come from the sportbike/motocross world. It might take time for the higher bars to grow on me. No apes ever though. The wife has already told me if I get apes she will "never ride on the back of that douchemobile". :D

If my wife ever told me that I'd install them as soon as I could.

I'm not a huge fan either. I like the way a moderate-rise ape looks, don't like the way they ride. Either way though, just 'cause someone doesn't like a style doesn't make them fucking stupid.

Although the ones in the pic come damned close.....

personally not my style but i agree doesn't make it stupid.. to each their own.. shit if the guy is happy riding that bike more power to him..
