Ever use a shoulder holster while riding? I usually ride with an IWB holster but I get paranoid and always check to make sure the gun is still secure, even though it always is. I've thought of going to an ankle or shoulder for when I ride.

Never a shoulder holster.

For my glock 23 I use a fobus side holster when I ride. No worries there.
Pocket holster on my Ruger LCP, but that thing never bothers me... its so small.

A&M leather will put a holster strap on the inside of your jacket or vest for like $25.

They do it while you wait?!

No but you should bring your stuff so they can see it. Then you can leave it and pick it up when done. Doesn't do you much good if you don't have your stuff.

I use a tuckable IWB for most carrying when I ride, but I also carry a brick (Glock 30) but I also use a "Belly Band" which conceals very nice.
Here's a pic of the tuckable.

What sort of belly band are you using? I was thinking of one of those too.

Bob I have 2 different ones. One is called the original belly band which is all black. Here is a link for that one

I also have a nice one I bought at a gun show that has a leather pad that goes behind the gun but I can't find out who made it.

I also was thinking of trying one of these as well

Thanks!

I've seen these shirts, like under armor style shirts, at gun shows that have a built in pocket. I was sort of thinking of those as well.

My biggest suggestion, at least for me, is I don't like the gun in my back when I'm riding. The seat hits on it... uncomfortable.

The belly band allows you to wear the gun where ever you want 360deg.

I have heard of, but not yet seen, a wallet holster for pocket guns like the LCP and Kel Tec. It looks like a wallet in your pocket, and when the bad guy says "give me your wallet", you naturally reach for it....

Can't remember where I heard of it, maybe here in one of the threads, or maybe at Magnum Force? Anyway, sounds like the ticket.

Yeah, those are nice for the smaller guns but mine a little too big to use a wallet holster with. But they are really nice and they leave the imprint of a wallet.

Exactly... I use it for my LCP as posted. But the Glock 23 is either a back or side holster.

I use a shoulder harness for my RPG-18  it's a little bulky but effective:cool:

Well, I know you have a KelTec, and you never said anything about a different gun in the thread, so I figured you wanted one for it.

I have a PF-9 which is just a tiny bit too big for a wallet holster. It'd be tight getting it in and out. I also have a CZ but I'm thinking of trading the CZ for a revolver.

I did find this guy making them for the PF-9 though so I guess people do use a pocket holster.

That might be the same guy that I met at the Dayton Show. I will have to check his biz card when I get home.

I always walk around with my gun in my hand and my finger on the trigger.

That right there is the #1 safety thing in the book.

Shoulder holster for one, second one IWB, with the last backup on the ankle. Not that I'm paranoid or anything. I carry cause I can, and this world is a scary place!
