Is there laws to where the headlight can or can't be mounted. I most likely will not do this but I was thinking of mounting the headlight under the bottom tripple tree instead of the stock location just for something different. Not sure how it would look and I'm sure it would probably look goofy.

No law... and very common location.

The biggest problem IMO on standard forks is that you end looking at the damn neck. Not good looking.

Now these are all springers, which is the more common forks that get the under mount.

Thanks man! I looked all over for pics of bikes like that.

I was thinking, to cover up the neck, and wires I have tied up there, I'd mount my leather tool bag there.

i wasn't sure if there was a law but i knew several people that mounted headlights on the forks on their track bikes to be able to ride them on the street between track days.. i believe LED lights.. and to my knowledge they never got pulled over or a ticket for it..

That may fix it up.

No problem on the pics. You should know I'm a pic guy.

Hey Bob,

I also have a all chrome stock 1 degree set of 41mm triple trees to go with that headlight off the same 2004 Deuce. I went to a 6 degree on the bike:cool:

I don't recall now, and the bike is gone. Do remember that between the ness lowering kit and the rake it dropped the bike 1 1/2 inchs and stretched 1 1/4 it was sweet and handled better than stock.

update:
if you look at the numbers for the Rocker on the harley site its the same rake and trail

Ended up going for the stock location. Installing it under the triple tree had the light hitting the tire so that might not of worked. LOL

That would depend on the rest of the bike's geometry numbers. Need to run it all thru a rake/trail calculator.
